Theatre children can sink teeth into

THE Point in Eastleigh promises to help banish summer holiday boredom with an exciting programme of film and live theatre from this week.

Comedy is very much the theme for children this summer with Comedy Club for kids tomorrow for ages six plus. Professional comedians do their stuff without the swearing or the rude bits!

Continuing the comedy theme, Little Howard and the Magic Pencil of Death on Sunday offers a contemporary twist on a classic tale. As seen on CBBC's hit show The Slammer and a highlight of the 2007 Royal Variety performance, it is suitable for ages six to 13.

There is also a wonderful opportunity to see an adaptation of Faustin Charles' and Michael Terry's The Selfish Crocodile on Friday. This is a funny, charming and intelligent musical play based on the popular children's book.

A special programme of children's films will include screenings of blockbuster The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and Horton Hears a Who.

For tickets and information call 023 8065 2333 or visit thepoint-online.co.uk.
