FOUR people who may have seen the killer of a Hampshire grandmother hours after her death have contacted police.
Detectives investigating the brutal murder of Georgina Edmonds say they have spoken to the potential witnesses after an appeal for them to come forward was made in the Daily Echo.
Last week, exactly three months to the day since the 77-year-old was bludgeoned to death and tortured, we printed the faces of 33 customers at a petrol station where the prime suspect tried to use Mrs Edmonds' cash card.
Dressed in a fluorescent yellow jacket and hiding his face from CCTV cameras outside the Tesco Express in Twyford Road, pictured, he failed to withdraw money with the card that had been stolen hours earlier.
Mrs Edmonds was repeatedly hit over the head with a blunt instrument and then stabbed across the top of her body, front and back, with a kitchen paring knife.
Her body was discovered by her son Harry and a family friend at about 5.45pm on Friday, January 11.

Detectives working on the investigation, called Operation Columbian, have urged outstanding people pictured at the garage to come forward and speak to police on 0845 045 4545.
