Is Fido a nice little earner?

WITH the cost of living soaring more people are taking on second jobs to beat the credit crunch.

A few extra pounds can help make ends meet but remember that any extra income has to be declared to the tax man.

HM Revenue and Customs is clamping down on second jobbers who do not declare their extra earnings.

For dog lovers one way to earn some extra cash is to charge the going rate of £10 upwards an hour to become a dog walker.

Still on the animal theme another way you can pocket a bit of extra money is to give your pet a taste of the limelight.

Television, film and advertising agencies can pay up to £90 a day to the owners of exceptionally gifted pets who have a natural ability to performfor the camera and obey stage directions.

Try different agencies such as Animal Ark on 020 8560 3029.

However, it is a competitive market and most pet actors tend to be raised by professional trainers. Do not pay any advance fees.

Even your home could potentially earn you some extra dosh.

You do not have to live in a listed building for film, TV and advert directors to be interested in using it as a location. Rates vary but location fees can range from anything from a couple of hundred pounds a day upwards. Call Lavish Locations on 020 8742 2992 or Film London on 020 7613 7676.
