RACE for Life in Southampton is the largest single event of its kind in the country.
On Sunday July 13, thousands of women will gather to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
It will be a day of high emotion - loved ones remembered and survivors celebrated coming through the disease. There will be great sadness at the loss of so many and immense joy at what can be achieved when people unite for a common cause.

WHEN Lesley Hamer's best friend Jackie Matthews died of breast cancer earlier this year she penned a moving tribute to her pal in the Daily Echo.
Now the hairdresser is running Race for Life with Jackie's friends and family to show how much the mum-of-two is missed.
"Jackie was such a close friend and an excellent mum. We wanted to show how much she was loved and will be in our thoughts the day we do the race," said Lesley, from Bitterne, Southampton.
"Jackie always thought of others before herself so this day will be the time we will be thinking of her.
"Jackie would be highly amused at the thought of us all running or even walking, as I always just jump in the car as it's quicker."

Lesley, who is running with Jackie's daughter Carly, 19, is looking forward to taking part in the fun run on Southampton Common on July 13.
"This will be a really rewarding day for us all knowing the money we raise will go to a well respected charity," she said.
"I know that Jackie will be watching over us and having a good giggle.
"Jackie's mum, who passed away recently, will also be in our thoughts."
