Pupils in fine voice as head teacher steps out of class
FOND FAREWELL: Pupils, staff and parents at Hythe Primary School say goodbye to retiring head teacher Pam Fyfe. Order no: 7062842
FOND FAREWELL: Pupils, staff and parents at Hythe Primary School say goodbye to retiring head teacher Pam Fyfe. Order no: 7062842

PUPILS at a Hampshire school held a special assembly to bid a fond farewell to their head teacher Pam Fyfe who retires this week.

Some of the youngsters at Hythe Primary School read out their memories of Mrs Fyfe and the choir sang a special song in her honour.

After just over seven years as the school's head teacher Mrs Fyfe said she would miss the children most of all.

"You start off with young children and see them develop and grow and then move on. I have just had a lovely career," she added.

Now Mrs Fyfe, who has spent 34 years in the teaching profession, is looking forward to being able to take her holidays in term time.

But she won't be retiring from the education system completely as she will be doing some work for Hampshire County Council on improving schools.

Pam Fyfe has absolutely turned Hythe School around and i hope she is as proud of her achievements as the parents are grateful. I wish her the very best for her semi retirement and i'm sure she can help other schools follow her example. 10/10 Well Done-Have a housepoint!
