Race for Life thanks

I WOULD sincerely like to thank all those who took part in the Race For Life this year as I have a personal interest. I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time and unfortunately this time the cancer has spread.

I WAS appalled to read in your letters' column a letter from John Cock referring to Hampshire County Council leader Ken Thornber as arrogant. This was a disgraceful and untrue statement.

I THINK something needs to be done about inconsiderate dog owners in Totton and Eling, especially Eling Recreation Park. I have two small children one of whom is in a pushchair. We have a loving and loyal Jack Russell that we enjoy walking through the park and up to Goatie Beach.

Pavements are for pedestrians
