Stern a top Championship scorer
Stern John
Stern John

STERN John finished fourth in the PUMA Championship Golden Boot award.

He scored 19 goals - all in the Championship - to finish behind two former Saints strikers in the race to find the leading marksman in the second tier.

Former Saints keeper Paul Smith won the League One Golden Glove prize to complete a memorable campaign following Nottingham Forest's automatic promotion.

The leading scorers and shot-stoppers from all three divisions of The Football League will receive specially designed golden trophies to mark their respective achievements in all competitions this season.

The winner of the Golden Boot for the Championship is Wolves' Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

With an award like that, my bet is that he will not be pulling on one of those nice, new design, Puma shirts next season!
It will herald a change in club policy where we sell a 'Golden Oldie' instead of a talented youth - assuming we have run out of talented youth!

Whoa, Sailor Sam has admitted he's a Saints fan!

Unless he's talking about Pompey selling their older players (of which they have many)...

well you cant be talking about saints as our new shirts are made by UMBRO, so no stern wont be pulling on a nice new Puma shirt, as he wont be joining Reading or plymouth!!

stern will be wearing UMBRO red and white next year!

I hope he does go. He has got to be one of the laziest and frustrating players to watch. So he scored 19 goals!! Needs to put a whole lot more effort in. Be glad when he leaves and takes Euell with him.
