COWES WEEK 2008
ONE of the world’s largest and most famous yachting regattas has descended again on the normally calm Isle of Wight town of Cowes.
The Skandia Cowes Week, heralded as the greatest show on water challenged around 1,000 professional and amateur teams alike to tackle a series of tough race courses on the Solent.
There's plenty of open-air activities and street entertainment, including spectacular firework display, a host of live music and of course some exciting racing on the water.
